Modern Mountain

Introduction
The house stands along the right bank of the Brenta River, in the town of Bassano del Grappa.
The project has an L-shaped plan, composed of two volumes of different heights, with an opening to the south-east towards the historic center of the city.
The architectural structure
Its favorable location led architects Giorgio Parise and Stefano Fornasieri to think of a structure that would gather the values of traditional construction and modern technology, expressed in the use of new materials employed, with a view to obtaining an autonomous construction in terms of energy.
The staggered volumes, the play of "full and empty" and the choice of materials are the basis of the project. An insulated galvanized sheet was chosen for the roof, while the external cladding is in stone and Parkles wood panels, to create a dialogue with the surrounding environment.
The main entrance to the house is located on the lower body, facing the street, to leave space for the sleeping area in the upper volume.
Relationship with nature
The relationship with the outside is accentuated by the choice of large sliding windows, from the Xtravision collection, and wood-aluminum windows from the Compact collection.
The greenery outside is divided into cuts and differences in level that characterize the geometry of the house.
